Open Brazil Power 2025

Enel Foundation and Sustainable Energy for All (“SEforALL”), (both hereinafter
the “Open Brazil Power Program Owners”) are excited to launch the call for
applications for the first edition of Open Brazil Power, an educational programme
that aims at forging new cohorts of young energy professionals with a complete
set of technical, regulatory and business skills needed to trigger Brazil’s
sustainable energy future for all. For this first year the programme will engage up
to 30 Brazilian individuals, with at least 50% women, in a series of professional
development and leadership activities provided in partnership with top academic
institutions in Italy and Africa.

The Open Brazil Power Program 2025 comprises online modules from academic
institutions such the Grupo de Estudos do Setor Elétrico (GESEL) of the Federal
University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Politecnico di Torino, Politecnico di
Milano, SDA Bocconi.

Open Brazil Power is designed to equip a new generation of energy leaders with
a holistic knowhow of the electricity sector to leave their mark, whether in public
or private sector towards a clean energy future for Brazil.

2.1 Program Structure

The Open Brazil Power Program will consist of local and international experts
both from academia and industry and comprise the following modules:

a) Digital Brazilian Module: State of the Art

This 24-hour module will occur between mid-August and mid-September 2025. It
will take place in digital form only. The module, delivered in collaboration with the
Grupo de Estudos do Setor Elétrico (GESEL) of the Federal University of Rio de
Janeiro (UFRJ), will explore the Brazilian energy transition and its intersection
with sustainable development, innovation, and regulatory frameworks. It will
cover the following areas:

→ Energy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including the role of
renewables, policy frameworks, and regulatory evolution in Brazil.

→ Technological Innovation and Future Power Systems, covering renewable
technologies, hydrogen and storage, distributed energy, and project financing.

→ Governance, Regulation and Market Structures, addressing challenges in the
Brazilian power sector, carbon market regulation, and performance incentives.

Following the Brazilian Module, participants will be asked to take a final
assignment in the form of an online multiple-choice test (“Assignment”).

b) Italian Module: New Frontiers

The Italian Module comprises an eight-weeks online course during the fourth
quarter of 2025 where Italian academic partners (Politecnico di
Torino, Politecnico di Milano, SDA Bocconi) will deliver lectures on the new
frontiers of crucial topics such as Additive Manufacturing, ICT applied to
Networks’ Management, Economic and Environmental Impact Accounting,
Renewables potential and climate change, Decision-making under uncertainty
and the key drivers of the energy transition.

c) Give Back Module

Upon completion of the Italian module, Enel Foundation could decide to involve
the cohort of alumni in teaching activities and events related to its education
initiatives in Brazil and beyond.

2.2 Selecting Process

2.2.1 By participating to the Open Brazil Power Program, Applicants acknowledge
and agree that the evaluation and selection process will be based on the following
criteria. In any case, no detailed evaluation of individual submissions will be
provided and the Open Brazil Power Program Owners, have the right to withdraw
it at their sole discretion. The Participants acknowledge that the Open Brazil
Power Program Owners may vary this regulation at any time at their sole
discretion. This includes changes to dates for deadlines and events, locations, or
specifications of the Program.

Any changes to this regulation will be posted on the Enel Foundation website.

Participants should regularly visit the Enel Foundation website to check if any
update of the regulation has been posted.

2.2.2 After the administrative check to examine if the Applicants have met all the
requirements requested under point 3 and 4 of this Call for Applications, the Open
Brazil Power Program Owners will select, at their sole discretion, up to 30
participants to participate to Module a) (Digital Brazilian Module). This selection
will take into account the following criteria: a) professional experience and CV; b)
academic background; c) motivation and reference letters.

2.2.3 Following the Brazilian Module, the Open Brazil Power Program Owners
will evaluate the final assignment and select, at its sole discretion, the top
performers of the course, based on valuation of their final assignment, overall
engagement, and class interactions.

The selected participants will be invited to attend the Italian Module.

The Open Brazil Power selection process is an open, merit-based, competition.
The application period opens on July 17th, 2025, and closes on August 3rd, 2025.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:

a) Be between the ages of 24 and 35 by July 17th, 2025.

b) Be a citizen of Brazil.

c) Currently resident in Brazil or planning to relocate in Brazil within the end of
2025.

d) Having graduated by July 17th, 2025, from a PhD, MBA or Master’s degree
(MSc, LLM, MPP, etc.) degree. Current undergraduate students, people only
in possess of a Bachelor’s degree or people who are currently enrolled in
a Master’s degree (i.e. graduate students) are not eligible for this
program. At least one degree (PhD, MBA, Master’s, Bachelor’s) must be from a
Brazilian University.

e) Have competences and a demonstrated interest to pursue a career – in
private or public sector – in the electricity space at large.

f) Be fully proficient in English (CEFR C1 level) and be able to demonstrate this
via an official language certificate or completion of at least one degree completely
taught in English.

g) Willingness to promote gender equality and women´s empowerment within
and beyond the programme.

Recognizing that women play a critical role in the energy sector, but they are often
left out of decision-making and have restricted access to energy education,
employment opportunities and finance, their participation in the OBP is highly
encouraged. Enel Foundation and SEforALL will ensure that 50% of the
participants are women.

Applicants must provide:

a) A copy of their CV (in .pdf format).

b) Copy of their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree certificates (plus eventual
MBA/PhD certificates) AND academic transcripts (in .pdf format).

c) A copy of their ID document (in .pdf format).

d) A motivation letter (max 700 words, in .pdf format).

e) Two reference letters from two different industry, academia and/or civil
servant representatives (in .pdf format).

To successfully complete the process, all the documents listed in the bullet
